Essay Topics For Non-Western Philosophy

Essay Topics For Non-Western PhilosophyThere are many essay topics for non-western philosophy. Of course, the two biggest are: Plato and Aristotle, but some of the other topics that you could choose to write about are these:The Non-Western Philosophy topic, I'm most familiar with is Plato. I even remember when I started to seriously think about it that I went to a religious themed conference with other philosophers (I didn't know they were there at the time) and they had a discussion about why Plato was important in Western Philosophy. Of course, we found out that he had been around for quite a while. Anyway, here are some other topics for non-western philosophy that you could write about. When you're considering writing about, say, physicalism or anti-physicalism (both of which I've written about before) you'll find that the main philosophical point of difference is one of perspective. It's basically whether we have an empirical or an ideal view of the world. You can find out much mor e about the subject of physicalism by going to the website that this is also written about, 'The Virtual Philosopher'. Anti-physicalism is a topic about whether the Universe is the sum total of all possible physical systems, and nothing more. This is not an ideological position at all, but merely a philosophical position, and if you study it, it has all kinds of interesting implications. Then you have metaphysics, which is the whole topic of philosophy of mind. You can find out much more about this by reading John Searle's book, 'The Counterintuitive Argument'. To summarize, it's about whether it's possible to have meaningful mental states without it being affected by brain states that you have. Then you can go into ethics, which is also known as normative ethics, and is really about how to decide on what good things to do and what to do with what's bad. This can include everything from what you should eat to how you should behave. So, there's quite a bit to think about there. Now, it' s important to note that, just because the topic is popular and well-known, doesn't mean it's the best topic for non-western philosophy. It might be one of the best topics for non-western philosophy, but it would be very hard to write about and would be just a waste of time to write about, if you didn't know what you were talking about.
